Homebase is a free household calendar app that automatically schedules recurring tasks, syncs with multiple calendars, & allows users to hire & rate professional help. It simplifies household management, making it easy for families or housemates to coordinate their chores and responsibilities. The goal was to create an intuitive, motivating platform that encourages collaboration while reducing friction in daily routines. This project was developed as a SCAD group collaboration with Kiersten Hebron, Kyra Mellinger, & Jack Clarke.
The design process focused on creating a simple, user-friendly interface that motivates consistent use while remaining flexible for different household needs. Features were developed to support both organization & collaboration, including automated task tracking, customizable schedules, & delegation tools. Interface & Experience: Built to balance clarity with adaptability, allowing users to view, assign, & track tasks effortlessly. Customization & Integration: Designed to adapt to each household’s unique rhythms, with seamless calendar syncing & optional professional assistance. Every design choice prioritized usability, engagement, & shared responsibility, ensuring that the app supports both individual accountability & cooperative living.
